ENIENT® PP25 Thermal Pressing Film for PP Fusion Bonding

When a strong fusion of two PP materials is required, ENIENT® proposes a breakthrough method: the use of PP-specific thermal adhesive film.

The thermal adhesive film is a polymer material that can melt when heated and re-solidify upon cooling. Its main component is polypropylene. The working principle of the film is to melt it through heating and pressure, forming a strong bond between the two PP materials.

Main Features:

Moderate melting point: The melting point of the thermal adhesive film is usually matched with the PP material, allowing the film to melt and fuse with the PP material during the heating process.

High adhesive strength: The thermal adhesive film can bond well with the PP material in its melted state and form a strong bond after cooling.

Good uniformity: The film can be evenly distributed between the two PP materials, ensuring overall bonding quality.

Working Steps:

Preparation: Clean and treat the surfaces of the two PP materials to be bonded, ensuring they are free of dust and smooth.

Film positioning: Place the thermal adhesive film on one of the PP materials, ensuring it fully covers the bonding area.

Heating and pressure: Place the two PP materials in a heat press machine and apply appropriate temperature and pressure. The thermal adhesive film melts during heating, tightly bonding the two PP materials together.

Cooling and solidification: While maintaining pressure, keep the heating for a certain period to ensure sufficient bonding. Then gradually reduce the temperature to allow the film to cool and solidify.

Inspection and trimming: After the film has cooled, inspect the quality of the bonded area. If necessary, trimming and repairing can be done.

Using the thermal adhesive film effectively fuses two PP materials together, providing durable adhesive performance. This method can be used not only for laminating PP materials but also for structural bonding of PP, offering characteristics such as durability, immersion resistance, and moisture-proof properties.

STORAGE
·  Store in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight. The recommended storage temperature is 8℃ to 25℃. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Under the condition, the product shelf life is 6 months.
·  The product is packed with isolated air. Before use, confirm the integrity of the aluminum film. Damage will lead to solidification and deterioration of the product.
·  Do not contact with steam, water, alcohol and other alcohol solvents.
